The basic rules and visual effects of prepress color matching

in the long-term production practice, we have summarized some rules of prepress color matching of printing ink, which is suitable for the printing color matching of aluminum foil in aluminum plastic blister packaging, and also suitable for the printing of flexible packaging materials. Now I would like to introduce to you:

first, the three primary colors of ink

blue, yellow and magenta are the three primary colors of ink. The three primary colors cannot be mixed with other colors. Theoretically, all the colors can be called out after the three primary colors are mixed in different proportions

second, the basic law of color matching

according to the requirements for color, the maximum corner jacking force (KN) 300 is often required. Several different colors of inks must be mixed to obtain the required color. This method is called color matching. It should be pointed out that after adding different proportions of transparent diluent (ink blending oil) to the original ink, different degrees of light tone can be obtained, but this is only the change of color brightness, and the hue is fixed. After adding different proportions of white ink to the original ink, different degrees of saturation can be obtained, but the hue is still fixed

the mixing of three primary colors of ink has the following basic rules:

1 Magenta + blue = purple (if magenta is more than blue, it will become purple red, otherwise it will become natural marble building board jc/t79 ⑵ 001 blue purple)

2 Magenta + yellow = red (if the composition of yellow is more than magenta, it becomes orange red, otherwise it becomes grass green)

3 Blue + yellow = green (if the blue component is more yellow, it will become dark green, otherwise it will become grass green)

4 Magenta + Yellow + blue = black (if magenta is more than yellow, and yellow is more than blue, it will become dead leaf color; if yellow is more than blue, and blue is more than magenta, it will become lemon color; if blue is more than yellow, and yellow is more than magenta, it will become olive color)

note here that magenta + Yellow + blue = black is a theoretical definition, which is very different from the actual operation. In the actual color matching, magenta, yellow Blue is only a dark gray after mixing in a certain proportion, which is quite different from the real black

III. visual effect of color

in actual work, I wonder if you have noticed that when a gray sample is placed on the red background, the gray sample will be green, and when placed on the yellow background, it will be blue

the following colors are complementary to each other:

blue and red are complementary to each other, blue purple and yellow are complementary to each other, and green and magenta are complementary to each other. Complementary colors rarely contain each other's elements, showing the most distinct opposition in visual effects. They can set off each other, so that the color and purity are greatly enhanced. The juxtaposition of complementary colors can show strong color differences, and can also meet the needs of human eyes for color balance. The characteristics of complementary color contrast are bright, vivid and complement each other

in fact, the colors we see all contain different hues and brightness. Therefore, when looking at the second color, the hue often changes, and the brightness also changes

for example:

1 On the light background, the dark color ability is strengthened, and the light color is weakened

2 On the dark background, the light color ability is strengthened, and the dark color is weakened

3. When a pair of complementary colors are together, they can be strengthened and the colors are more vivid

IV. precautions:

we should strive to make color matching with the least primary color. If primary colors are used more, they will complement each other and become gray, which will reduce the saturation. We should pay more attention to particularly bright colors

we should also note that the age of color matching workers should not be too old. Generally, after the age of 40, the crystal body in the eyes gradually turns yellow, and the ability of color discrimination and color perception are affected. From a physiological point of view, it is most appropriate to be 20 ~ 30 years old. Of course, we should also consider that people have different color vision after illness and fatigue.
